Daily notifications
Here's how you can turn on a twice-a-day weather forecast notification.
- Open the Weather app.
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Go to the "Tools" section, and tap Settings .
- Tap Daily Notifications.
- Tap the on/off button to turn them on.
- Choose a time and location for each notification.
Ongoing notifications
Here's how you can turn on a ongoing weather condition or temperature notifications that constantly display in the Yahoo Weather app.
- Open the Weather app.
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Go to the "Tools" section, and tap Settings .
- Tap Ongoing Notification.
- Tap the on/off button, to turn them on.
- Tap either Temperature or Weather Condition to see one or the other.
- Choose a location to see the notification for.
Success! You'll now see an ongoing notification of the type chosen.
Emergency alerts
The Yahoo Weather app only shows emergency alerts such as evacuation for hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, heat advisories, and other extreme conditions. However, wind warnings aren't displayed.
Whether or not you see an alert depends on which alerts are active at a given location, their severity, and your default location setting or device location.
